Our Youngest & Oldest

the whole gang.

Johnny Appleseed

Nate has taken to eating whole apples and bananas. He grabbed an apple out of the fridge the other day and just went to town on it.  So, we now hear "Appo? Peas. Peas!" several times a day.

Nate also insisted on wearing socks and shoes over his footy pajamas.

little William

(Very) Early Morning Nate

Needless to say, Daddy was/is not quite as energetic or chipper at 7:00am.

Reminders

Things we've been reminded of/learned this week:

1.  Little boys can't control where they pee—doctors, their faces, toys—nothing is safe.  Will fountain-peed twice at the pediatrician's office two days in a row in different examining rooms.  We all had to duck and cover.

2.  Check yourself before leaving the house. Matt went to the store in his house slippers. Twice.  Almost three times.

3.  No matter how small your older child still is, he will seem giant in every way—physical size, volume, temperament—especially compared to an 8lb infant.

4. There's a special place in heaven for people who bring new parents food.

5.  Setting an alarm for 3am to wake up and feed a sleeping baby is rough.

Yes, Matt was the weird/creepy guy wearing slippers at Safeway.
